No Mommy, Just Go Back Inside

Vince is the cutest.
Lately he's in this stage of wanting his toys in a particular order and set up, but then not playing with them and no one else can touch them! haha
He has this kitchen set (it's a bunch of play food) in his tool box that would be so fun to play with but, nope, it sits in the tool box. I was asking to play with it and he said in a nice voice, "No, mommy. Just go back inside." haha
Don't get me wrong, he'll play with his toys but like I said lately he just has to have things a certain way or it's like a little panic attack happening inside.
He's so cute!

He wanted a picture of Elmo

Too Much Cuteness

These are my absolute favorite moments of my life! I love my boys and that they are best friends :)

Rattlesnake Ridge

We love living so close to Holly and Ella. It's been so fun this summer seeing each other almost weekly. It is so cute to see Vince and Ella play and have fun together.

Last Saturday we had a break from the intense heat and decided to go on a hike. I LOVE hiking and love living back in Washington with all the nature, forest, mountains and outdoor activities. There are so many great hikes in the area and we decided to do Rattlesnake Ridge.
Holly, Ella, my mom and Dal came with us, which was fun. The hike took a few hours and was a decent climb so we knew we needed to hike with the kids on our backs. Ryan had Vince, I had Jake and Holly had Ella!! Holly was a rockstar carrying her up!!
It was really fun and a great view up top!

I had to snap this picture of Jake sucking on his arm! This is Vince's signature mark!! Seriously he's done this probably since he was Jake's age. I remember the first time I noticed a red mark on his arm and asked Ryan if he knew what it was and he said, no. Then later, I notice Vince sucking on his arm and he was literally giving himself a hickie! haha But it's his comfort and so cute! He still does it all the time and apparently Jake likes it too!

We have a stander

Jake has been standing on EVERYTHING!! I would not be surprised if he's walking by the end of the summer or maybe this month!
It's so funny to see the differences between Vince and him.
Jake is such a climber and go getter. Vince couldn't climb up on the couch until he was 21 months! haha But Vince blows me away with his verbal skills. He has the best vocabulary I've ever heard since he was about Jake's age.
Jake's a tough guy trying to catch up with his big brother :)

Just look at those cankles :)

God Bless America

Happy 4th of July!
We are so blessed to live in this beautiful country and I'm so grateful for the freedoms we have. God truly has blessed this land and the people!
We went up to my grandpa's beach house in Anacortes and it was a blast.
We caught crab, ate crab, drove around in boats to islands and shipwrecked boats, ate more crab, threw rocks in the water, jumping over docks into 50 degree water, talked, laughed, told stories, ate more crab, laughed more, took ridiculous pictures, went on a hike around an island that had 2 murders on it, saw fireworks and enjoyed life being with family!
It was a great weekend :)

Water Babies

The weather here has been HOT!! Seriously, it hasn't rained in like a month and most days have been in the 90s. And this is Seattle! June is notorious for rain and not that warm, records have been broken daily, but we aren't complaining :) A little concerned for the craziness but we've taken advantage.

We went to Coulon Beach on Lake Washington for FHE the other night which was interesting. I envisioned Vince and Jake loving the water and wanting to stay for hours. Ha! Quite the opposite, both boys were whining and barely played in the water. Vince was more concerned about eating pretzels and eventually warmed up to making sand castles with daddy. Jake was just done and wanted to be held, but hey, we have lots more years for plenty of swimming and we did have some fun!

Jake is crawling/standing up on everything. I seriously would bet on him walking by the end of the month. Such a big boy!

We have had so much fun living on the river. Ryan made this awesome pool with rocks that the kids can play in. It's so fun, there's a little stream and the pool area and if we get too hot we just go over to the deeper area and float down or dunk your head!

We love living so close to Holly and Ella and having them come over all the time. Shawn stopped by last Thursday too and we had a BBQ after playing in the river. So fun!
