Urban Adventure Quest

We LOVE the Amazing Race! We have watched all the seasons and even seriously considered applying for a season! (But we couldn't leave the boys for over a month).
A few months ago my friend Jaynee told me about this fun thing called Urban Adventure Quest. They did it in Savannah, GA and had a blast. It's like a little Amazing Race. They are in cities all over the US and conveniently there was one in Seattle. You log onto their website then there was about 20 questions that would take you around the city, solving riddles, puzzles and other things.
It was so fun!! And it was so fun doing it with my love! I honestly felt like we were on our honeymoon for part of it. Running around Seattle having a blast.
I love Ryan!!

There was a PEMA convention going on with wanting them to free the whales from the Seattle aquarium. Haha we were cracking up

Haha I was supposed to be pointing at Pikes Place

Dragonfly

Our friends in our ward invited us over for a hot dog roast and for the kids to play a couple weeks ago. We went out to her parents house that they are currently building. Her dad is a pilot and has a few planes. He has one called a dragonfly that is like an open airplane. It's a two seater and he was able to take Ryan and I up individually. It was awesome!!! It felt like you were flying, and being up so high so could see so far!

Vince and him kept taking Taylors chips and I kept having to intervene, but it looks like Jake got one without me noticing. Look at that face!

We found a fun park/lake area nearby that we like to go to now. It's called Nolte Park and Deep lake is right in the middle. There's a 1.5 mile trail around the lake that Vince can walk around and I can carry Jake in the backpack. Then the boys love throwing rocks in the water and there's a fun playground to play on.

Garage Saling

A few weekends ago Ryan was out hiking with the scouts and the boys and I had a Saturday to ourselves. I love going to garage sales and decided to take the boys. I told them they could have one special thing if they were good.
We got to a big sale and I was looking around for a bit. Then I turned around and Vince showed me a shot glass he found. He said, "Look mama, this is a perfect cup for orange juice and milk for big boys!" haha It was so cute and everyone around was chuckling. So innocent! He ended up picking up a tablespoon and a plastic axe, but ended up with a small Hawaii keychain that they just gave him for free. :)
We went to one more and I let him get this pumpkin since he got the keychain for free.

Gardening

We have a couple acres and knew we wanted a big garden. We cleared out a area in our field and went to work!

This is everything we planted

We started some of the seeds in our sun room. It's perfect for growing

HAHA so like I said we cleared out an area and thought we'd be good. Ryan even tilled up the area twice but it grew back really fast and thick. This isn't normal grass, it's field grass with really deep roots so we've had to dig and dig, spray it and only clear out the spots we're actually planting. It looks a lot more like a garden now. I'll post more pictures soon.

Typical Day with my Boys

A typical day with my boys is filled with lots of food, playing outside and lots of laughter and usually some crying and screaming. :)

I make green smoothies for breakfast a couple times a week and Jake LOVES them. Vince can take them or leave them. Which is funny, because he's the one who eats fruits and vegetables really well and Jakes more stubborn.
I used to spoon feed them to him but he now stepped it up and goes straight for the cup.

We went to True Value to pick up some topsoil and Vince was so excited because they had a little shopping cart just his size!

They also love digging in the dirt and playing outside. Such big helpers!

Best Friends!

Andrew and Jared's Birthday Party

Vince and Jake's cousins Andrew and Jared had a birthday party a couple weeks ago. We went to the bowling alley and then back to their house to play and have dinner and cake. The boys always have a blast playing together and I love that was live close enough that we can see them close to every month.

At the bowling alley this was the most entertaining thing. We had to keep calling back the boys to bowl and then they'd run over to the arcade games. haha

I didn't even know they made bowling shoes this small!

YEAAAAHHH!!
