Beach House on Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day Weekend we were able to go up to my grandpa's beach house in Anacortes area with Ryan's brother Shawn and his family. They have 3 kids, Vince and Jakes, age so we all had a blast! It was nice to get away for a few days and just be with family.

The boys loves just being on the beach, throwing rocks in the water and exploring

I went here all the time growing up and we would go "crab hunting." We set out crab pots in the water to catch and eat the big dungeness crabs, but on the beach under bigger rocks there's TONS of baby crabs. The boys LOVED going crab hunting by having us turn over the rocks and seeing all the crabs scatter. If you get the really tiny ones or pick up the bigger ones right, they wont pinch you and Vince was brave and liked holding them too!

This one looked so cool with a perfect tooth shape on its back!

We got there Saturday morning and it was rainy and windy but that didnt stop us from playing outside. We also went on a walk around one of the islands which was fun too. After church on Sunday the weather cleared up and it was gorgeous and warm Sunday and Monday!

Vince absolutely loves watermelon. We went shopping for food before we came up and was so excited to open up the watermelon. It was so cute

The gang having a meeting :)

Vince is so coordinated. He got really good at balancing and walking on logs. I was really impressed!

On Monday we went over to Deception Pass area and found this great park on the way

This is Rosario Beach, we called it button beach because all the rocks are smoothed down like buttons. It was gorgeous and the water was so clear!

These are the tide pools with lots of sea anemone

Tuckered out from all the fun

Growing up on the way home we would sometimes stop at this farmers market stand that had the biggest and best ice cream ever! So I knew we had to stop :)

We all were in heaven and the boys, mostly Jake, were on a sugar high all the way home :)

Dodge Caravan

We did it!
We are officially owners of a van. The day has finally come and you know what? We love it!
Seriously, our van is awesome. It's very spacious, I don't have to kill my back getting the boys in and our of their carseats, it drives great, and has great visability.
We are truly blessed and so grateful for our new van!

Relaxin

I had to snap this picture because it's pure, real life.
Vince still loves Elmo and sucking on his right arm. Jake sucks his thumb and loves his Curious George and blankie, except when  he doesn't feel like getting them, and a random article of clothing will suffice. :)
