I've wanted to get blonde highlights for a while and finally did. My friend Becca, did it for me and I love how it turned out! I had blonde highlights when Ryan and I were first married, then went back to my original hair color about a year later. It's been fun to go back and have a change :)

Happy Birthday Vince
Happy 3rd Birthday Mr. Vince!
Vince is such a special little man. He is so smart, caring, kind, observant, handsome, funny, energetic, cautious with a side of adventure and such a boy!
He brings us so much joy and has truly made me a better person. I'm grateful everyday that I am privileged to be his mother and we get to spend each day together.
We love you so much and love who you are becoming!
We went to the Black Diamond Bakery for breakfast and Vince got to pick out his own doughnut. It was fun to do something special and delicious for his big day.
The day was kind of a bust in the sense that his cousins didn't get to come over and celebrate with us. Jake had a bad cold with a fever and we didn't want to send all the cousins home with their party favors being a runny nose and a fever :(
But Vince was still a happy man and enjoyed his day.
We put up the Happy Birthday sign, did streams, balloons and had some family over for dinner and cake.
Vince got a Spiderman bike and helmet which he loved!
It was a beautiful, cold day with a great sunset. I tried but the picture doesnt give it justice.
He got a fishing pole and legos from his grandparents and loved them!

Hand Stamped Manderines
A few months ago I was looking through Pinterest and I found
this.
I fell in love immediately and knew I wanted to do this in our new kitchen.
This is the before.
Plain white kitchen with white cabinets. Not very complimenting. In our home in Georgia we had the same thing and then painted the walls gray and LOVED it. I almost did it again but knew I wanted to try the manderines.
There were 3 shades of orange that you had to do one layer at a time. The stamps that the blog showed me to make didnt show up too well on my wall because it was pretty textured. So I would have to go back and fill it in. Time consuming but worth it.
My lovely family came and helped which cut the time way down.
Thank you ladies
It was definitely a time consuming project, but I really liked how it turned out.
To be honest, the first night it was a little overwhelming to me and I actually told Ryan that I think I didn't like it and wanted to paint it gray! But I decided to give it a couple days, and it really grew on me. It's really fun, cheery and bright. I have plans to put up some black and white pictures on the main wall to break it up which I think will look really good.
The boys like it too :)
