Life in Georgia

Life in Georgia is good! Its been pretty hot and humid but it actually cooled down a lot! I mean we're talking low 70s today!!! Crazy for August and it felt pretty good!

So Vince has been eating solids for about 2 months and this has been his "high chair." It's been great but can make your back pretty sore, so we decided to buy a high chair. I talked to my friend Jaynee who recommended getting wheels, and boy did we make the right choice. He loves been pushed around the kitchen and house! haha

Big boy in his new high chair!

The other day Ryan was playing with Vince on the piano while I was in the kitchen making dinner. After a minute or so I swore I saw Ryan go in the other room out of the corner of my eye, but I still heard Vince playing on the piano so I look and Ryan had set him up in the Bumbo!! It was too cute not to take a picture!

Haha so Ryan was getting the bath ready for Vince while I was getting him ready and undressed. I got him undressed a little too early and was holding him on my hip, talking to Ryan and waiting for the bath to finish filling when I feel something warm on my stomach!! Vince peed on me! haha Lesson learned!

Vince loves his food. He eats, apples, sweet potatoes, broccoli, carrots, peas, bananas and oatmeal! He still doesnt like carrots alone but I've learned the art of mixing vegetables with apples or sweet potatoes and he loves it!

Mr Vince 7 months old

Mr Vince! Oh there's so much to say about our little man! I love him more and more everyday and everyday I dont see how I can love him more!! Being a mom is the best! So I've been slacking on the blog and I have a new goal to post something a least once a week. So I missed last month so this will be 6 and 7 month pictures and info.
Vince is such a happy boy and has learned to laugh a lot more. He sits up like a champ and is so close to crawling!! He actually goes backwards and its so cute. He rolls around and moves but juts doesnt have the crawl quite down. I really think it will happen by the time we go to Washington in 2 weeks. He's eating food pretty well, usually once or twice a day. I thought he would've taken to it faster but he's starting to like it more and more and I think it's because Im making it better. We started with rice cereal which he liked and then I tried adding some avacado, peas and carrots which he didnt like, he actually gagged on the carrots!! But after some time and I've pureed the food better (Im trying to do homemade baby food which is pretty easy and way cheaper) he's liking more. He really likes oatmeal, sweet potatoes, apples and doing better with peas. It's so cute to watch him eat and just learn and grow!
He sleeps through the night great! He goes to bed around 7 and sleeps til about 7 too which is nice and take 2-3 naps during the day. He says mama and dada and Im pretty sure he knows what he's saying, he says other things like nana, ba, hi and random babbling. No teeth yet and I think he hair is starting to get thicker the bald spot in the back is gone so I know we're making progress! He loves when I sing songs to him, he gets really excited! He loves to put everything in his mouth too. He's a pretty content baby but likes to talk and will let you know if he's not getting enough attention! We love him so much and are so grateful we get to be his parents!

6 months old, he has his Chad Hord shirt on from off road racing in Wisconsin

This picture I imagine him saying, "Now let me tell you a story.." haha

Oh he's really good at sitting in the shopping cart, he's so cute because he sits straight up and holds on to the bars. So many people stop to comment and say how cute he is!

He's rocking back and forth, so close!

Happy Boy!

Vince says "Hi"

Crawling Backwards

Hey there big haircut

I've changed my hair, I feel like, a lot. Long short, layers, straight, bob, highlights, blonde and even a perm in 7th grade! haha But I've had it long since Ryan and I got married 3 years ago and really liked it. Well little did I know, or people had said but I really didnt think it would be this bad, your hair falls out after you have a baby. I mean FALLS OUT!! It didn't happen right away, for a couple months everything was fine, then it started coming out like crazy, when I showered, brushed my hair and then I could literally just pull out like 20 strands at a time and it would be all over the house and Vince. You get the picture. It was time for a change. It took a little convincing and negotiating with Ryan (he loves my long hair) but it the end I won, obviously. I cut off 7 inches! I wanted to do 10 and donate it but it would have been way to short for comfort! It's now very easy to maintain and the shedding has decreased significantly!!! It's fun for a change and the nice thing is it will always grow back!

New Home

We bought our first home!!! We moved to Georgia a year ago, not sure what all the plans were going to be so we started out renting and really enjoyed where we were and the great ward from church we were in. During our first year there we prayed and felt like Georgia was where we needed to be for a while and went ahead with house hunting. It was exciting, overwhelming and fun all at the same time. This was actually the very first home we looked at and I remember liking it from the start but we wanted to look around and really get to know the area and feel like we knew it was the one. Well after bringing our price up and then back down, we were lead to 515 Great Falls and never looked back!

We absolutely LOVE our home! It's great being home owners and we've been so blessed by our Heavenly Father and great supporting family and friends. It's all brick 3 bedroom, 2 baths with a great yard and everything we wanted!

This is the front, we tore out some big bushes that were right in front and plan on doing some landscaping but the middle of summer in Georgia is definitely not the time to start. haha

This is the kitchen which I love because it's so spacious and tons of cabinets!

The other part of the kitchen, area for a little table

Back porch

Backyard, it was neat they had a basketball court all put in and an area for a dog (that will be gone soon)!
