Thanks Grandma!

My mom sent me a package and included a little gift for Vince for his first Christmas! She gave him a cute reindeer sleeper that is so cute!!

Note: These pictures were taken right before bedtime and someone was a little tired and not in his picture taking mood! haha

Merry Christmas!

Happy Fall Y'all

The fall leaves here are GORGEOUS!! We have these trees that are pretty prevelant in our neighborhood and we have 2 in our front yard. The leaves are kind of waxy and have been green for a really long time. I actually didnt know if they would ever change colors and lose their leaves, but they did and boy are they vibrant! Seriously so pretty!!

So we decided to do our own photo shot in our front yard with Mr Vince! I was going to put some pictures in a collage but then they'd be too small and you wouldn't be able to see all his cuteness and I didnt want to deny anyone of that! ;)

10 months

Vince is 10 months old!!
Wow, his birthday is in less than 2 months and that is just crazy! Vince is the love of our lives, he is so much fun! He is seriously the happiest baby I know and always smiling. He does have his moments, but what baby doesn't, and even at that, they don't last long at all and they're for a reason. He sleeps through the night and takes two 1-2 hr naps during the day. He is a good eater, eating 3 meals a day and a snack in the afternoon. He's eating a lot of finger foods and is getting sick of the baby food and is starting to refuse it. He likes to pick up his food and have texture. He now has decided he likes to be fed (if he's going to be fed) from a regular spoon and not the baby one! haha He loves green beans, apples, ground beef, cheese, bananas, cheerios, oatmeal, pears, greek yogurt, (despite how bitter it is) carrots, chicken, tomatoes and pretty much whatever we're eating. He loves to be outside and go on walks, we go at least once a day, sometimes 3 times depending on his mood and the weather. He loves his mama and daddy! Ryan comes home for lunch a lot and will come in through the garage (you can hear it open before he comes in) and I say, "Daddy's home," and he gets a big smile and turns towards the door waiting for him to come in! So cute!! We have a picture of Christ on his wall and he loves seeing it and pointing at him and will sometimes try to say "Jesus!" So precious! He loves the ceiling fans/lights and always points to them, he's starting to point at things a lot. He loves socks. His, mine, Ryans, dirty/clean doesn't matter he'll crawl pretty much anywhere to get them and chew and play with them (I try to keep the dirty ones away! haha) He loves to stand up and walk around holding our hands, he pulls himself up on tons of stuff and loves being such a big boy!! We love him so much and are so thankful we get to be his parents!

It's starting to get cold at night and in the mornings for our walk and instead of buying gloves I use socks, works like a charm!

He's got it!!

Vince got the crawl down!! Vince has been "crawling" for a couple months now but it was more like a fish belly flop. haha He would get up on all 4s then flop forward and that was his mode of transportation. He could get places if he wanted but I think it would get uncomfortable after a while. Well a few weeks ago he started taking a few steps and then going to the flop but last week he just started crawling!! We were so excited and now he does it like no problem!

Gator Nation

A few weeks ago Ryan went up to Iowa for business so Vince and I decided to take a trip down south to visit my good friend Tami. They recently moved to Gainesville because her husband is doing a ceramics program at University of Florida aka Gator Nation! It's really crazy how we are both living in the south at the same time and are only 6 hrs away. We both grew up in Washington and are literally on the opposite side of the country at the same time. So we are taking full advantage of being so close!

Just look at those legs!!

We had to take a couple breaks and Vince loved "driving" I would have to pry his hands off the steering wheel when it was time to go! haha

We had lots of fun, we went on walks, out to eat at Chick Fila (you can read about the fun adventure here), shopping, picnic, went to the beach, trick or treating on campus, lots of playing for the kids and talking and laughing for us! It was great!!

We went out the the gulf to a beach called Cedar Keys. It was kinda cold and windy, so no swimming but we had fun playing at the little park and having a picnic

Don't worry Ellie had a blast :)

Vince on the swing

There was a Halloween activity that the sorority girls put on, on campus which was neat. They had this little picture booth and I was dying laughing, they were so cute!

Ellie was a Spanish girl and SO DARLING!! Her outfit was really from Spain and was so cool! She played the part well!

Tami and Ellie

The nickname for the campus is the swamp and it definitely lives up to it's name. There's spanish moss everywhere and it was pretty neat.

You don't see this sign everyday. And we did see a few alligators and even some baby ones that were actually pretty cute!

haha I don't know where Vince it looking but those two had lots of fun together

Happy Halloween

Vince first Halloween was a success! He had 3 different costumes and rocked them all! Ryan and I carved pumpkins a few days before and had really fun. Ryan asked if I was going to make the same pumpkin face I do every year. I always thought it was cool but apparently it was a little boring, so we decided to have a little fun and make a competition out of it! It was fun and we put it on facebook to see who got the most votes. Ryan beat me by 1 point!! It was really fun and I'm excited for next year.

Ryan did the cat and I did the skeleton

We didn't take Vince trick or treating because let face it, everyone would know the candy would be for Ryan and I! haha But we did sit out on the porch passing out candy and Vince in his costume. (Apparently that's what people in Georgia do, probably because it was 80 on Halloween!!) Ryan grew up in Wisconsin and me in Washington so it was always freezing or raining, so this was quite the treat.

A few months ago we watched our friends house while they went back to Japan to visit family and they brought us back this awesome, authentic outfit!! It finally fit and he was a doll!! Our little Japanese man!

This was when Vince and I went down to Florida (a few weeks ago to visit Tami) and there was a Halloween trick or treating on the University of Florida campus. This was all I had, a stud muffin/camo man but he was a hit with the ladies! ;)

My little bear

And finally this was going to be his original Halloween outfit but because it was 80 degrees he would've been one hot bear! Isn't he cute!!

Only in Georgia

A few weeks ago I had bought this deal on Groupon for a "Haunted Hayride" over in Hepzibah. It seemed fun and it was a way to make sure Ryan and I could go out on a date. Now don't get me wrong, I would love to go out on dates with Ryan every week but
A. We have a son
2. Babysitters add up
D. A lot of times Ryan and I are fine with having date night at home
Anyways we were both really excited to get out of the house and do something "different" and fun. And boy was this different! haha
So Hepzibah is in south Augusta and way more out in the country than where we live. The haunted hayride was at Graystone Ranch and they had a little bit of everything. Apparently they have not only Halloween activities but Easter, camping, wildlife zoo, fishing, trails, horse rides and more random things. It was kind of hard to find and off the beaten path but we did make our way to it. Once we had got there and paid they had us go to the "waiting area" which is an outside little area with super old patio furniture under an awning. It was interesting but we had fun. The actual haunted hayride was pretty good. There was no hay involved but this old man driving a little tractor pulling us behind in a big wagon type thing. It went super slow but they had a lot of good actors and things to scare you. We had fun and made the most out of it. I don't know if we'd ever go again but we had a good time and laugh!

Exciting decorations
