Boys love trucks and more...

Vince and Jake love trucks, cars, excavators, front loaders, anything John Deere and pretty much anything with wheels. We like to go to this park about a mile away in Buckley that has a skate park next to it. One day we went there was an excavator that had started tearing up the whole thing. Unfortunately no one was operating it at the time we were there, but the boys still loved it.

Racing

Lunch after playing hard

We came home and lucky us, we got to see our neighbors get their septic system pumped! haha The boys were enthralled.

Bust a Move

We have a big time dancer in the house. Watch out when The John Deere theme music comes on...

Fun Tidbits

I love being home with my boys and being able to share fun adventures with them

Vince and Jake love playing outside and play together a lot of the time. They really are best friends and I love watching them laugh with one another

George is Jake's special friend just like Vince has his Elmo. It's so sweet how they love their "friends." Jake can say George now too!

We made banana muffins and the boys were such big helpers. Jake really had fun smashing up the bananas and Vince likes playing with the flour and sugar.

Haha so Jake is 19 months now but this picture was from last month. The outfit is for 18 months but clearly he's popping buttons and it's too tight, but I had to try it on and take a picture because it was too cute to just stay in the draw!

Vince likes to help (sometimes) with the chores. He puts away his clothes I fold in his draws and will empty the silverware from the dishwasher. He sometimes helps me with the dustpan and mopping too :)

Our friends offered us their trampoline and we were stoked. The boys love jumping and were so excited to get one. Jake is still a little unsure if he's bouncing with Vince but has fun on his own. Vince has a blast and can do fun "tricks."

Ryan found the Land Before Time 2 on our amazon prime account for free and it only took one viewing and now Vince is obsessed. He literally wants to watch it everyday, it's starting to slow down a little but it was like that for at least 2 weeks straight. Now he really likes dinosaurs and we'll play dress up.

Look at that yard!

I love where we live!
We have been so blessed and we KNOW it was a blessing from Heavenly Father to be able to be in the house we are in. It is so awesome to have land and I don't think I could ever go back to being in a neighborhood. It's so great for the boys to have space to run around, play, and be free!
But with all the land comes the upkeep, which is fun too. The yard was in decent shape when we moved in but we've done a lot of work and it's starting to show!

Ryan found this John Deere mower on craigslist for a good price and the boys (including Ryan) all love it. Whenever Ryan needs to mow the lawn the boys have to take turns riding with daddy.

Can't beat this view!

I wish I had some before pictures but my mom, aunts and grandma came over one day and we did tons of work and weeding to the front and I love how it turned out!

I Finally Picked a Color I Like

I finally found a color for my kitchen and dining room that I LOVE!!
I originally started with my mandarins, which did not turn out how I had imagined. The blog I found them on looked way cuter than it turned out in my kitchen.
I was leery about it the first night it was done but, I thought I would give it a week or so to get used to it and see if it could grow on me..... It didn't take long to realize it wasn't a good fit. I had friends come over and they would come into the kitchen and say, "Oh wow, did the previous owners do the oranges?" Then I'd smiled and kind of embarrassingly say, "No, I actually did that. I saw a blog and it looked different than how it turned out." haha Then they would hurriedly say, "Oh it's so cheerful and bright! You need that here in Washington." haha I could tell they were embarrassed and were trying to cover their tracks. I wasn't offended and it made me laugh, but I knew I needed to change it sooner than later.

A couple weeks later my mom and I decided to repaint it. I felt like I knew the exact color that I wanted. At our last house in Georgia, our kitchen had white cupboards and we painted it gray and I LOVED it. So, of coarse, I thought I could do the same color and it would turn out perfect.
Wrong.
I actually had to guess what shade of gray it was (and if you didn't know there's about 5000 different shades of gray). Well I either guessed wrong or it just did not work with my kitchen. It reminded me of what the inside of a prison might look like, and I didn't want that to be what I spent a majority of my time in.

Thankfully, my mom is amazing with colors and suggested I use her light key lime green that she had painted it her kitchen and I went with it. I LOVE my kitchen and dining room!!
The color is bright, but not neon, cheerful and so pretty!! I seriously get happy when I look at it! :)
