Being a Nurse
I can't believe that it will be 4 years in July of me being a nurse!!! So crazy how fast that has gone by and how much I have learned and been able to experience! I've been able to work in many different areas and each area has something cool to offer. Nursing is a great job, but can get overwhelming and stressful at times, as all nurses know. I was working on the cardiac unit for a little less than a year back in August and was needing a break. We then moved to Georgia while Ryan and I were doing Ryan's internship, which was a blessing. I'm now working in the float pool and really enjoying it. I like the variety of working on different floors, meeting new people and the change of things everyday. I was getting burned out back in August and the break was such a wonderful blessing and now love my job as a nurse again!! Ever since I started working again back in January I've enjoyed nursing so much more and had my batteries recharged. I remember reading a talk by President Monson in the January Ensign called Living the Abundant Life and it said to Have a Positive Attitude and it really effected me. Some of the things I see, hear and smell are definitely not the most pleasant but if I have a good attitude it really makes a world of difference. I know the Lord and helped me tremendously and I've had so much support and love from Ryan, my mom and all my family and friends. I've realized that nursing is such a neat job because I get to work with all kinds of people and help them when they are in some peoples lowest moments. I've been trying to look at my patients with an attitude that we all need help in this world. I'm not the judge and I have this opportunity where I get to help and see lots of people get better. It's opened my eyes to realizing that people are so complex and so much makes up a person and to not judge one another. I've also realized that laughing at these stressful times makes a world of difference as well. I've been grateful to be a nurse and all the life lessons its taught me, and helped me grow!

Beautiful Disaster
There are always so many awesome recipes on Pinterest and the pictures are always amazing too. I mean some women out there can really do it all with the cooking, sewing, photography and everything else, but Im trying!
These just made me laugh with how they turned out! I don't have a picture of how the cupcakes should've turned out but if you can imagine a hard mint chocolate shell covering all the white cream instead of the green doodles on top! haha
This was my attempt at my Homemade Girl Scout Samoas!! I literally dont understand how she got her's to look so perfect!
Needless to say, they tasted great and gave Ryan and I had good laugh, and hopefully you do too!

Ryan got a job!!
Ryan got offered a job with John Deere in Augusta, GA!!! We accepted and are so excited to be starting our new chapter in life! We did an internship with them from Sept-Dec and they recently offered Ryan a full-time position starting August 1st 2012!! It has been such a blessing doing the internship and then receiving this job offer! We can really see the Lords hand in everything and are so grateful. Ryan just signed up today for his last semester of classes and will graduate end of July and then we're off to Georgia! Ryan really likes the company and the people!

Finally Winter??
This winter in Rexburg has been quite amazing. It's the mildest winter I've ever seen in Rexburg and even talking to locals, they say they've never seen it this mild. Its been in the 30s and 40s for most of it and barely any snow. I was reading an article saying that Rexburg spends around $100,000/year for snow removal etc and this year they've only used $1000!! I've really enjoyed it being so mild and almost spring like at times. BUT... yesterday and today are a different story. Yesterday was like a blizzard it was snowing and SO WINDY and this morning we woke up to this!
Its really not that terrible, the weather says were supposed to have accumulated 3-5 inches and there's maybe 2 or 3 on the ground but still kind of fun. Luckily though its supposed to be in the 40s this weekend
