Happy Halloween

Halloween was always one of my favorite holidays. But who doesn't love Halloween? I think I went til I was like 14 or 15! haha
One year my best friend Brittany and I went as conjoined twins! Seriously, best. costume. ever.
We've had decorations up all of October and been talking about Halloween for a while. Vince wanted to be Spiderman (which is funny, because he's never watched Spiderman) and Jake ended up being an alligator (free costume :)
They were the CUTEST!!

We carved out of pumpkins the week before and it was fun because Vince was actually able to help. Ryan showed him how to scoop out the seeds. He got the hang of it pretty well. Ryan did an awesome Elmo pumpkin and mine was the classic smile, but apparently not cool enough to get on the blog. I might have to step it up next year :)

He loves his costume and still wears it around

Our church had a Halloween party the night before which was fun. Ryan was in charge of the spook alley and made this awesome life size coffin. Literally, I fit inside it!
There was chili, carnival games for the kids, a spook alley, costumes parade and of coarse, lots of treats :)

Pure happiness

There was face painting and I was actually impressed that Vince let them paint his face. Usually he shy's away from those types of things but the snake he got on his forehead must have been too inviting to resist ;)

Vince won a cupcake on the cake walk!

This picture KILLS ME! He is SO CUTE standing there waiting patiently for his prize. Such a good boy!

The next day was Saturday and actual Halloween. It was a rainy, crappy weekend, but we made the most out of it. Vince got to have his movie night (which we started in the middle of the day) for doing well with going potty. He picked Hotel Transylvania and got popcorn! Very special

Jakers got watermelon instead

The boys had enough of being cooped up all day so Ryan took them out in the drizzle and let them go. They naturally found the muddiest and wettest place to play in :)
But we didn't care, we just threw them in the tub after. They were so cute, laughing and having a ball! How could we say no?

Finally evening came and we got to go trick-or-treating. And it actually stopped raining for the hour we were out too! We first stopped at grandpa and bestemors and got some candy and fun glow stick swords. The boys loved them!

Then we headed over to my moms and went around her neighborhood. Whenever we would knock on the door. Vince would just stare and forget to say "trick-or-treat" or start to walk in the strangers house! haha
He had a fun time and got some nice candy to show for it too
