Atlanta Zoo

Last weekend we went to the Atlanta Zoo. The state of Georgia has a library program where you rent a movie about the zoo and when you return it you get 4 free tickets! We took full advantage :) It's so fun bringing Vince to things like this because he LOVES animals! Real and stuffed ;)

Vince really liked all the birds and how close they were flying all around

It was really cool, we got to the giraffes when it was time to eat and saw them run

I thought this was so sweet, he loves his dad!

Vince has a little fox stuffed animal and this was actually a red panda but looked like a fox, he was excited

This tiger really put on a show. I don't know if she's normally like that or it was lunch time, either way, it was fun to watch!

A Bunch of Activities

OK, I've really been slacking on the blog. Sorry, but I have been taking pictures for the past couple weeks so I'll play catch up. Memorial Day Weekend we went up to see Ryan's sister Shalyse and family for a couple days. It was fun seeing all the kids and hanging out. We celebrated Shalyse and Andrea's bday on Monday and got to come to a pool party. It was a great weekend :) But the most important part of the holiday is being grateful for all the many men and women who have served this country. Home of the free because of the brave. God has blessed us with a wonderful country and I'm so grateful for our freedoms!

I didn't get many pictures but here's one of the boys playing

Vince and I play in the backyard almost everyday. It's been getting pretty hot so we're usually out in the mornings or evenings unless were in the pool. But even at that it's still pretty brutal. Our garden is doing awesome but we have a lot of squirrels and rabbits that roam around. We've seen baby Peter rabbit in our garden and some squirrels so Ryan bought a trap for protection. The other day we found an unexpected animal in the trap, a TURTLE! haha

Mr Turtle was also taking a dip in our pool :)

This was the garden the end of May

Here it is today. Things are growing good! :) Baby is almost 24 weeks!

Our garden is growing awesome and we're getting lots of fruit, still small and green but it's coming!

The other day Vince took my keys and went to the door trying to open it. It's so cute and I really don't know where he gets it from because we rarely use the keys to open the house, we always go in through the garage but he's always watching and learning!

This was SO CUTE!! Ryan was mowing the lawn and Vince grabbed his mower and starting folllowing him! I tried to get more videos but my camera died. He's a little man!

Last weekend we went to a little beach party at the lake. It was one of Ryan's coworkers who threw the party and we had fun. Vince played on the beach and threw rocks in the water. No swimming but we went around in a paddle boat that was neat.

Lastly, I had the pack n play up while I was watching my friends kids wo they could nap. Well I forgot to take it down and the other day this is what I found :)

Family Bike Ride

We finally bought a bike seat for Vince and couple weeks ago and he;s starting to enjoy it. He really doens't like to wear hats and we knew a helmet would be worse because this is strapped to your head. haha But we figured if we quickly put it on then start riding he'll be distracted from actually moving and forget about the helmet. It worked! Well the first ride was a little shaky but this trip was a success! It was a beautiful day and we went to a fun trail in South Carolina. He looks so cute because the helmet is huge and makes him look like a bubble head but he doesn't seem to care, if you're riding, once you stop that's a different story and he immediately wants out and the helmet off :)

Thirsty from all the pedaling :)

We stopped to run around and play, I mean for Vince :)

Garden Update!
Everything is growing really well and we got tomato cages. Can't wait for the fruits of our labors!!

Best Friends

We watched 2 of my friends kids the other day and Vince had a blast! One of the kids is Dallin, who is 4 and Vince thinks they are best friends. Dallin is so sweet and seemed to enjoy playing with Vince too so it wasn't just one sided. It's so cute because Vince is literally half his height but could care less!

Boy oh Boy!!

It's a BOY!!
Vince is going to have a little brother and we couldn't be more thrilled! It was so fun to see baby boy playing around in there and to be happy and healthy. We are truly so blessed and couldn't ask for more! We're so excited to see our boys grow up together, do scouting, go on missions, play sports, work on cars with dad, go camping, fishing, hunting, hiking and more! I love my boys and can't wait to meet our newest little man!

Summer is Here!!

Summer is definitely here in Georgia. It was in the 90s this whole week!! We bought a pool for Vince which has been one of the best purchases thus far :) It's been fun, we're outside everyday enjoying the heat and sunshine. I am a little nervous for when summer really gets here being pregnant and all, but there's not much I can do, so bring it on! :) I love our backyard, it's so fun with the pool, basketball court, we have trees for shade, a good grass area and our garden!! We're so blessed!

We go through 2-3 outfits a day with getting wet and all. I would let him just go in his diaper but I don't want him to get burned, like I said it's been pretty hot. He is getting tan though, I put on sunscreen whenever we go out but he already has tan lines from his sandals! So cute!

He LOVES basketball and basketball hoops. When we go on our walks in the mornings he tells me all of the basketball hoops we go by. He calls them "bat" and really emphasizes the "t." So cute!!

Here's our garden. We planted it 2 weeks ago and this is after a week. We were shocked with how fast things popped up. We have 12 tomato plants (we love tomatoes), green beans, carrots, onions, radishes, cucumbers, squash, green peppers, banana peppers, and cantaloupe!! We are so excited! So it doesn't look that pretty because the soil here has lots of clay and sand but we used potting soil where the plants are and it's working!!

Ryan made a nice fence to keep out the animals

Vince loves water and the hose. He also loves to drink from it and gets soaked, haha!

We had one of Vince's friends over and it was so cute seeing both of them as diaper men!

Besides pooling it up in the backyard we've been strawberry picking. We went twice in the past couple weeks and got tons of berries! The first time I had Vince in his stroller and he was fussing to get out. So I let him out and he starts devouring all the strawberries in site, so I put him back in the stroller and now he's really mad because he knows how good they are and wants more! Needless to say we picked pretty fast to finish up. At the end I got him back out and had him close letting him pick the berries and put them in the bucket (I was pretty much guiding his hand to the bucket or he would've ate them all) But who can blame him they were delicious!!!
These pictures are from the second time we went and this farm was more kid friendly and didn't really care if the kids ate some berries. I brought some diversions this time (grapes) and then let him eat some and help me pick. He did REALLY GOOD!! I was actually pleasantly surprised how much of a big helper he was being! I made a batch of jam and froze the rest. It's such a fun thing to do and love that Vince can help now :)
