Hey there big haircut

I've changed my hair, I feel like, a lot. Long short, layers, straight, bob, highlights, blonde and even a perm in 7th grade! haha But I've had it long since Ryan and I got married 3 years ago and really liked it. Well little did I know, or people had said but I really didnt think it would be this bad, your hair falls out after you have a baby. I mean FALLS OUT!! It didn't happen right away, for a couple months everything was fine, then it started coming out like crazy, when I showered, brushed my hair and then I could literally just pull out like 20 strands at a time and it would be all over the house and Vince. You get the picture. It was time for a change. It took a little convincing and negotiating with Ryan (he loves my long hair) but it the end I won, obviously. I cut off 7 inches! I wanted to do 10 and donate it but it would have been way to short for comfort! It's now very easy to maintain and the shedding has decreased significantly!!! It's fun for a change and the nice thing is it will always grow back!

New Home

We bought our first home!!! We moved to Georgia a year ago, not sure what all the plans were going to be so we started out renting and really enjoyed where we were and the great ward from church we were in. During our first year there we prayed and felt like Georgia was where we needed to be for a while and went ahead with house hunting. It was exciting, overwhelming and fun all at the same time. This was actually the very first home we looked at and I remember liking it from the start but we wanted to look around and really get to know the area and feel like we knew it was the one. Well after bringing our price up and then back down, we were lead to 515 Great Falls and never looked back!

We absolutely LOVE our home! It's great being home owners and we've been so blessed by our Heavenly Father and great supporting family and friends. It's all brick 3 bedroom, 2 baths with a great yard and everything we wanted!

This is the front, we tore out some big bushes that were right in front and plan on doing some landscaping but the middle of summer in Georgia is definitely not the time to start. haha

This is the kitchen which I love because it's so spacious and tons of cabinets!

The other part of the kitchen, area for a little table

Backyard, it was neat they had a basketball court all put in and an area for a dog (that will be gone soon)!

Diastatis Recti (Mummy Tummy)

After Vince was born via C-section I felt like I had zero abdominal strength! It was crazy, I could barely lift myself up. My strength seemed to come back pretty quickly but one day I was lying on my back and lifted my head to look at my stomach and I could literally see a crevasse between my abs!!! It was creepy looking and even crazier to feel. I could fit like 2 fingers across between my abs. I talked with some other moms and they said it would heal over time and with exercise mine is slowly healing. I can still fit 1/2 to 1 finger length in between but it's much better and my stomach is almost back to normal. BUT in the meantime I was looking on Pinterest and came across this blog talking about Diastatis Recti and it was explaining what I had. During pregnancy and childbirth the abdominal muscles weaken and can cause this splitting of the muscles making the "mummy tummy" and this gap, making it hard to get rid of the belly. The tricky part is, that traditional crunches won't do the trick! This blog has some ab exercises you can do to get rid of that tummy and heal those muscles!! http://inspiredrd.com/2012/06/dear-diastasis-recti-im-so-over-you.html

5 Months

WOW! I seriously can not believe I have a 5 month old! Time really does fly and he is getting BIG!! I looked at him the other day and could really see him changing! haha So he's been able to roll over for about a month but wouldn't do it very often until like 4 days ago. Now he won't stop! He really doesnt roll from front to back much at all but loves rolling from back to front! It's so cute and he's so strong. The downside to this is when I could put him in his crib for a nap or sleep, he would roll on his tummy and then get stuck and start crying. So I'd go flip him back over and 10 seconds later we'd go through the same process again and AGAIN! Thankfully he learned pretty quickly and now likes to sleep on his tummy. I was a little worried at first but I've heard that once they can roll on their tummy they're ok to sleep there. He still has times where he gets stuck and ad but is doing much better. He's sleeping pretty well. He goes to bed around 7:30 and will sleep til 7:30ish and only wake up once.
We got a Johnny Jump UP and he really likes it! It's so cute to see him bounce and jump around! He's starting to laugh, Ryan is good at getting him to laugh and its soooo cute! A few weeks ago I started blowing through my lips so they would vibrate and make noise (if that makes sense haha) and he was enthralled by it! His eyes would get really big and was so shocked I could do that. Then he started trying to but does it with his tongue and is THE CUTEST!! We love Mr Vince and the joy he brings to us! We are so grateful Heavenly Father has blessed us with such a happy, healthy boy and so grateful to be sealed as an eternal family!

Ryan is making him smile! He loves his daddy!

Swampin N Muddin

Last weekend Laurie was able to come visit us which was fun! We took her to real southern cooking, Crackerbarrel!! Love that place! :) Then we went to the Georgia/South Carolina border on the Savannah River to show her the gators. We saw one but didnt get the best picture but he was there!

Vince steals the show! He is a doll and I could just eat him up! :)

That same weekend there was a Marine Mud Run on Fort Gordon that I did with some friends from church. It was a blast!! It was over 4 miles, tons of obstacles and TONS OF MUD!! I was soaked and had mud EVERYWHERE!! So fun and we can't wait to do it next year!

4 Months old

Vince is 4 months old yesterday!! He's such a big boy and I love him so much I can't stand it!! :) We went to the doctor today for his check-up and he's doing great.

Weight: 14 lbs 15oz -50%
Height: 24.5 inches - 25%
Head Circumference: 17 inches - 75%

So he's perfect in weight with a big head and a short body! haha Just kidding but kinda, he's perfect!  I wouldn't change a thing! He's a very verbal little man and has now learned that he can talk in a high pitched voice. haha It's funny but can get a little loud at times. He's rolled over 3 times but it was more like a tip over from tummy to back but he's working on it. He LOVES bath time! It's the cutest seeing him get the biggest smile and playing and kicking in the water. His favorite toys right now are Mr. Turtle and his activity bar that dangles toys over his head so he can bat at them. He's sleeping well and goes about 10 hours a night which is heavenly and is a happy boy! We love him more than words can describe!

Washington

Wow! I can't believe how fast time has flown by! Vince is almost 3 1/2 months old and grown and changed so much!! We were able to go home to Washington in the middle of March to see family and be there for my brother Harrison's homecoming from serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Knoxville Tennessee. It was so much fun being with family and my good friends Tami and Jaynee were able to come up from Rexburg too.

This wasnt in Washington but it was so cute I had to psot
